317. killing cult, lynch.

Last Friday I made my way down to Yokohama Bay Hall for lynch. I haven't seen them in half a year but I wasn't too excited for the show since I'm not totally in love with their new album. Also, the fact that Bay Hall is in an inconvenient location didn't really help either.

They started exactly at 7pm and I was right about AVANT GARDE making me feel excited. Their setlist wasn't that impressive since they can't play a lot of old songs now but I'm so happy they played EXODUS and AMBIVALENT IDEAL. I was most excited to see EVIDENCE and PRAYER live, both songs didn't disappoint. EVIDENCE is yet another fun song I would definitely look forward to at all their shows from now on.

I'm not a big fan of their new slow songs, PHANTOM and FAREWELL. I didn't feel anything when they played them. I was secretly hoping they play an illusion, which I know is impossible, haha. For me, going to lynch. shows now have gotten a little mundane, I look forward to the after show more which I don't know if it's a good thing.

Photos are not mine, I received them in my email. Nonetheless, I still enjoyed myself. There are still so many reasons why lynch. is still my favorite band after all these years. I'm just really happy I'm their fan and not any other visual bands'. I'm still not a fan of visual music,  I have repeated over and over again, only lynch.

I'm going to see them next Tuesday again and this time in a much more convenient location, Shibuya. Can't wait!

314. pipes & pipes

Been pretty busy since I got back to Tokyo but before I post about my outings with Mad, I feel like I have to get this off my chest because I'm such an introvert it's not even funny.

I spent my entire evening being socially awkward but not in a bad way. I have been in talks with some friends about my new project and I made my way down to Shimokitazawa this evening to check out Survive Said The Prophet's exhibition.

Seeing familiar faces again is always nice, I've missed events like this for the last couple of months when I was in Singapore. Whenever I am in Singapore, I am such a hermit and when I get out of the house, it's with my sister most of the time. So, seeing everyone again here was pretty awkward for me and I froze so many times, I even told my friends "Oh my god, I don't even know what to say now." It does not help with the language barrier. My Japanese has so gotten so rusty, I'm literally saying all the verbs out loud and making my friends guess what I even want to say.

Thank god there were a couple of people who were fluent in English, if not I would have just crawled into a hole.

The exhibition was pretty alright, mostly about Survive Said The Prophet's merchandise. I was looking forward to the acoustic more. I also was pretty surprised to bump into Ryo because I haven't seen him in such a long time. Also, I'm really thankful everyone has been so supportive of me. Yosh even wore my shirt straight away once I handed it to him. I'm still in the talks with everyone, so I will still take some time to get where I want to be. But I promise to work extremely hard, I have to have some faith in myself.

SSTP's acoustic was really good. They're a melodic band, so it's pretty different from what I usually listen to. BUT they are one of the best bands I have seen live in Japan. I only know one song If You Really Want To from their old album, and I like their new song called 3AM. They just released their new album FIXED and are on tour now around Japan.

I think they played a total of 4 songs tonight with a lot of MC-ing (that I don't understand). I managed to only record the first song, also drag to the 1:55 mark to see Crystal Lake's vocalist Ryo, make an appearance, haha. Thanks Yosh for wearing my design!

Tonight was really productive, just a shout out to Yosh, Ivan, and Ryo for taking the time to talk such an awkward me. I'm not always like that but I think it just has not sunk in that I'm back in Japan and my life here is a totally different one from Singapore. LIKE, it's worlds apart. I'm still taking some time to adjust.

I totally forgot how much of a social life I actually have in Tokyo, to be honest. I just got so used to being on my own for the last couple of months, it's so strange to be in a sea of people again. Adding in culture shock and the language barrier make me such an awkward person.

246. the versus, lynch.

September 30th, Wednesday was lynch.'s THE VERSUS show featuring sads. I was pretty excited about this show since I haven't seen lynch. in a long time. I met Nika in Shibuya to grab lunch and we made our way to Akasaka Blitz after.

It was my first time in Akasaka but there was nothing much to do so we just waited around the venue area till it was about time to go in. To our surprise, there weren't as many people as we expected at the show. Maybe the front part of the pit was only half filled with most people standing at the back.

sads was up first and the crowd went a little crazy. I've only listened to 7 Deadly Sins album, and they didn't play much from it except for Gothic Circus. I didn't really enjoy their set honestly, I was a little bored but Hazuki came out to sing the second last song with Kiyoharu and you could tell he was happy because he loves Kuroyume.

I was surprised there were people crowdsurfing for sads's set.

sads played for over an hour and lynch. took the stage at about 8.30pm, by now I thought they would have changed their SE music but it's still GALLOWS introduction music so I was a little... bored also. I've seen them on their GALLOWS album tour probably thrice. But they opened to EXODUS, and continued with all my favourite fast songs and also did a cover of sads' song HATE.

I only headbanged to a couple of songs, I didn't really feel that into the music. The crowd for lynch. was pretty bad actually. Normally at their shows, the crowd is pretty wild and you'll feel pumped up to headbang or mosh but this crowd was pretty dead for some reason. I was waiting for people to push me and get squeezed to the front but no one was moving.

I wanted to see them play EVOKE but they played it last and by that time, the band was already tired and Hazuki was mostly out of breath. The only highlight of the show was probably AK looking better since he let his hair grow out. He's still cute but lately, I can't unsee that he really resembles someone. My mind was somewhere else throughout the later half of their set.

Kiyoharu also came out to sing ADORE but honestly... brutally honest, he butchered the song and I didn't enjoy it at all. Hazuki seems to be happy though, so I'll just leave it at that.

After the show, Nika and I went to get dinner in Shibuya again and we both agreed that dinner was more fun than the actual show.

I don't know if I'm slowly losing interest in them or maybe this show just wasn't that good. I look forward to the next time I see them because by then, they will play new songs already. Hopefully the new album will be good, I have my own doubts though.

I still love them, but I feel myself changing direction in my music taste. Again.

236. tonight, we are the dreamers

I have been feeling under the weather for the entire week and wasn't sure if I was up to go to any shows. On Friday, I decided to go to see Decays, THE BONEZ and MERRY but because I am SICK, and being absentminded lately, I forgot my ticket. Thank god, there was Plan B.

Plan B was to go to Crystal Lake's True North Project #3 with Loyal To The Grave and OTUS. Despite still feeling a little unwell, I just went ahead to Shibuya Garret. OTUS was already on stage as I walked in. They had a half hour set, and so did Loyal To The Grave. I enjoyed both bands and was glad I could see Loyal because I missed them last month.

Crystal Lake took the stage at almost 9 and played for about 45 minutes. Their set was good today because it was a long one and they played a couple of old songs and a new song. I was kind of sick seeing them play lately because it was always the same 5 songs. Seeing them today was another good pick me up. I have been feeling sick and stressed out lately. Funny enough, little sis and I came down with a fever on the exact same day.

Even though I was having a headache, I was headbanging (not vigorously) to my favorite songs. I was so glad they played Mahakala and Twisted Fate. Yudai (guitarist) crowdsurfed for their encore song, and was playing the guitar on the crowd. As always, it was nice seeing familiar faces again. I always can't handle my schoolmates after some time because even though they are nice and we get along, our minds are just wired very differently.

My headache got worse after show but at least it was worth it since I really enjoyed myself. I hung around the venue for a little bit before heading home. I went home early this time since my head was pounding.

The next time I will be seeing Crystal Lake play will be in Osaka for Bloodaxe Festival. I will be seeing Crossfaith the day after too, can't wait!

P.S. I would have recorded their new song or the old songs but my mind really wasn't functioning. I only realized I didn't record anything after they played The Fire Inside (before encore). Hopefully, I can much better over the weekend.

232. blue and yellow, the used

Today felt like a loooonnnngggg day. I received some bad news from home this afternoon during class, this time it's Mad who is back in the hospital. She was just fine when I saw her almost two weeks ago. Life can just take a turn sometimes and for me, I feel like it's been a never ending battle going on my head of worrying too much and trying to stay focus at the same time of things I want, class and everything here. I hope she gets better soon, I was talking to her fiance and checking up on her.

Thankfully there was a good pick-me-up after class tonight. I made my way to Ebisu after class and headed to Liquidroom for The Used's show here with Crystal Lake opening for them. Crystal Lake took the stage at exactly 7pm and opened to Matrix. I haven't seen them in  a while, they didn't disappoint as usual. They played the usual, Matrix, Ups an Downs, Rollin', Beloved and The Fire Inside.

The Used played almost right on time at 8pm and opened to Maybe Memories. They were better than I expected them to be. In the past people would tell me not to see them because Bert (vocals) sucked live, also because I don't really like Bert because he was dick (inside story). Putting that aside, his vocals were amazingly alright. I guess it pays off when he's been sober for three years now. They played a ton of old songs from In Love and Death and their self-titled album.

The show was filled with nostalgia for me. It's been 10 years (man, I feel old) since I've been listening to them. I remember always listening to them on my way home from school. Oh, those angsty days. Their setlist was filled with my favorites, Take It Away, Listening, I Caught Fire, Blue and Yellow, All That I've Got, Buried Myself Alive, Box Full of Sharp Objects, The Taste of Ink.. FILLED with my favorites like I said. Also, it was a nice break from all the Japanese bands.

Weirdly enough, the longer I am in Japan, I get happier when I see a foreign band even if my favorite bands at the moment are mostly Japanese. It could also be because I can actually understand when they are talking to the audience, lol. The Used had more heart in their live performance than I expected, especially coming from Bert. I really enjoyed Blue and Yellow. It was my lullaby for a few years when I was younger. Their MC was also kinda funny. Well, good westernized humour.

They closed to Pretty Handsome Awkward, and their encore was a long version of Box Full of Sharp Objects. They also covered a little bit of Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit. Ryo came on stage again to do the screamo for Box Full of Sharp Objects. It actually made me really happy because I could see my past and present when they were performing together. It's kind of an unexplainable feeling. Life is so strange sometimes, I'm glad I missed The Used in the past if not I wouldn't be as happy as I was today.

Another thing I love about being in Japan is that when I go to shows, I see a lot of familiar faces and would stop and talk to them as much as my Japanese allows me. Thank god there are a couple of people who can speak English fluently. It feels more "at home" than I ever was in Singapore. It was nice seeing so many people again today, I felt like I needed it after the intense two weeks back home and the news I received today. I was greeted with a lot of 久しぶり, and compliments that I look better with short hair.

This year has been proving to be a little too crazy for me again. I'm planning to go to more shows, do more art related things and spend time with new people. Aside from the worries I have, I have been pretty good and plan to stay that way.

211. decade of beauty, the novembers

On Friday, I was eagerly waiting for my class to end because I was so excited to see THE NOVEMBERS again. I haven't seen them in a long time (last time was September), let alone a one-man show. The last time I saw them at just a one-man show was way back in 2013 when they were doing their album tour at Shindaita FEVER, and I went to see them play To(melt into) and (Two) into holy. I lost interest in them for several reasons but since they posted a special web live video, it made me really miss their music and want to see them again.

Coincidentally, they are also celebrating their 10th anniversary (like lynch.) so I thought it would be good to see them again. After having dinner with my classmates, I went off to Club Quattro for their show. They didn't disappoint and were as good as I remembered. They opened to Romance and everything suddenly fell into a dream like atmosphere, like their music. I was so happy they played many old songs because fans requested and they posted on their social networking accounts (as pictured above) which songs they were going to play. This show actually had most of my favorites.

I really really enjoyed their faster songs starting from Primal because you could feel the music and just sway or dance to it. Blood music 1985 and Xeno were really good live. I always fall into a trance like state when they play faster songs, it is totally different feeling I get when I see lynch. or any other heavy band. It's weird because I hardly listened to their latest album but really enjoyed those two. I totally forgot how they would actually headbang to their faster songs and Yusuke could hit some really high notes, though some people might not like it (people have told me he looks weird or it's annoying when he sings the high notes), but I think it actually adds to how good the band or he actually is?

Also, rare songs were played like chernobyl, a friend of mine who have seen the band so many times have only seen them play it twice. So it was good, this show really reminded me why I used to love them so much.

They played for almost 2 hours, and I was really surprised Yusuke Kobayashi (vocals) did a little bit of mc and laughed because I've never seen him talk during a show. So it was nice to see that side of him. At the end of the show, they were distributing the setlist! I wish more bands would do that. Also, their setlist is kinda cool looking, can't expect more from artsy people, haha.

I got a badge at their merch table as well since I've always liked the little thing Yusuke draws. Hopefully, they have more one-man shows this year. I really want to see them play a long set again.

PS. It was a nice change of crowd after going to some hxc and only lynch. shows.

128. absolute xanadu, lynch.

So on Wednesday, I finally got to see lynch. again after 4 months of missing them. It was their last live at Shibuya AX since it's going to close down in May. I was having major butterflies before the show started, I always have butterflies on the day of their lives but this time it was really, really bad. Like the feeling you get when you can feel a lump in your throat and you just want to puke bad. Thankfully, my pocket wifi arrived just before I left home, so I was texting Yuri and baby sis the entire time, they made me feel so much better.

I kind of already knew that this live was going to be a long one since they are going to release it on DVD soon, so I was pretty excited and also, because they're playing new stuff. Weirdly, there were wayyyyy more people at this live. Half of them were guys. When I went into the hall, it was so packed. The most packed I've ever seen for lynch.

So... I decided to stand somewhere in the middle because I really just wanted to see them play, I wasn't intending of moshing or headbanging. But when the lights went off, the crowd became fucking violent, I got pushed all the way up to the second row, infront of Yusuke. Before even the live started, I was already pissed. -__-

They opened to their new Introduction from the new album, followed by GALLOWS, NIGHT, I'm sick,b'cuz luv u. and all the fast paced songs... I think I was the only one not headbanging. Yusuke already noticed me during the first song. It was right where we left it... I wasn't sure he would remember but when he saw me, he opened his eyes bigger and smiled at me. At that moment, I knew I was going to be awkward for the next 2 hours.

THIS WAS ACTUALLY MY VIEW. -__-

EN2-1 A GLEAM IN EYE

The backdrop for this live was really good. First it was the lynch. logo and it changed in between songs, can't wait to watch it on DVD. I was happy when they played GREED because it's my favorite from the new album, so I was singing along to it, 永遠に永遠に、 and like I said got awkward cos as I was singing, Yusuke was looking at me and everytime we had eye contact, I became nervous and I will forget the lyrics. -__- Reason why I don't want to stand in the front, especially infront of Yusuke. And when they were playing ENVY, he was singing it and straight on staring at me. Awkward.

But... after ENVY, I died on the inside because they played an illusion! It's my favorite favorite from them so I was soooo happy singing along to it. I've been dying to see them play this live. Yusuke wasn't looking now, so I looked at him, he looked so cute singing along to it as well. After that, when I heard the beat to THIS COMA I squealed and fangirled so hard. It's another of my favorite favorite from them. The entire crowd was so quiet that Yusuke noticed me squealing and he just smiled at me. I was so embarrassed but so fuckin' happy. For this song, I didn't care if he was looking, I was happily singing along to it and looking at Hazuki. My eyes would shift between Yusuke, AK and Hazuki. Sometimes I'll look at Asanao and Reo too. But during this song, Yusuke was looking still but I didn't bother anymore.

When they played BE STRONG, there was foam falling it was so pretty to see. I think they wanted to make it look like it was snowing. After that, they played PHOENIX which I didn't really care about. And the rest of the live was a blur to me because I got so awkward with Yusuke, all I can remember is people moshing and me being annoyed having to shift my eyes and turn my head to Hazuki so I could enjoy the concert. At one point it was even more awkward because AK noticed me also (we met before right?), and was staring, so I got even more awkward and shifted to Yusuke, who was also staring and I was so pissed, I just stared at Hazuki.

While waiting for them to get on stage again for the first encore, I was texting Yuri and telling her how pissed I was. Thank god for her and wifi. When they took the stage again, they changed out of their clothes into the merch except for Hazuki. So as usual, he will give some long speech... And during that time, things got awkward with AK. I was looking at Hazuki but I felt someone staring at me so I turned to look directly at AK, and when I caught AK staring at me, he immediately looked the other way. I was just... annoyed at this point. So I didn't care and continued texting Yuri. "I want to slap ak so bad, as I'm typing this he's looking at me." Yuri's reply  made me laugh so hard because she said "then smile :D, like ;D" I started laughing, so I covered my mouth because I didn't want people to think I was crazy? The moment I looked up, AK was still looking at me and laughing as well. It was pretty hilarious, that scenario.

After that it was a consent blur again, I can't concentrate on their songs because I couldn't stop feeling awkward. Their encore was the usual songs, UNTIL I DIE, Discord Number. They played ADORE twice back to back though, which kinda made me pissed because I got pushed around in the pit. After they ended their encore with TIAMAT, I decided to move out of the pit because 1. pissed with two assholes named Akinori and Yusuke 2. the crowd was just crazy and it was hard to breathe.

They closed to A GLEAM IN EYE. I was so happy about that too! They mixed it up with the album and single version. I was in peace singing along to it since I was far from the front. I've never wanted to be at the back of the crowd for them ever but things just got so bad I can't really enjoy myself with just their music.

sidenotes : Hazuki looks so good with this hair and he was wearing contact lenses. He looked so cute during this live :3 I actually really love AK's dreadlocks as well but without the bandana. He looks fine too with it, but cuter without. Yusuke took off his makeup for the encores. I wonder why too? But he looks much better without. Hazuki brought up the Daruma things again. -__- Also, one more reason why I don't ever like standing in the front because Hazuki spits water at the crowd... I don't want to be drenched in his spit but I had no freakin' choice. A little of his spit landed on my face. -___-

And... this was my 7th time seeing them.

I'm annoyed with two of them but happy nonetheless, end of the day I am happy. And even more so because they played my favorite songs. I hope they play OBLIVION and RING on the other dates.

I already have planned out some of their other lives I'm going to, Nagoya, Saitama and Sendai. I don't know if I'll add any more dates but we'll see.

121. nagoya-kei weekend

Last Saturday, 4th January 2014, was Tokyo Mosh Pit Vol 2. There were a total of 5 bands playing at Shibuya AX that night, but I don't really care for the other bands because I was only there for lynch. This was quite an emotional live for me because it's my last time seeing them in a long time. I think I got used to seeing them so often (every month), that I've been spoilt by it and now when I can't get to see them anymore, I feel so hollow.

They opened to JUDGEMENT which was a pleasant surprise because it's been a loooonnnggg time since they played that song and a really long story how important that song is to the band. I was happy singing along to it because it was my first time seeing them play it. Yusuke was really cute that night ^^ I didn't bother much about headbanging because I just really wanted to watch them play. They played their typical short set list - The Fatal Hour Has Come, -273.15C, All This I'll Give You, VANISH, INVINCIBLE (glad they did, one of my favorite live songs), I'm sick b'cuz luv u, MIRRORS, pulse_, NIGHT.

Mid-way during their set, I couldn't see AK because the girl infront of me was so tall, I just tilted my head, and he was so funny. He saw me and stopped playing his bass for a little bit and just stared at me. Then after that, he continued while giggling to himself. He was so funny. I was actually giggling to myself as well. lol Then after that, we exchanged a couple of smiles. It's been like this lately at their lives after I met him.

Hazuki invited BORN's Ryoga (no care) out to sing pulse_ which actually kind of annoyed me, but oh well. I feel like he butchered the song :/ Like I already said so many times, I don't really like visual~ bands. I just can't take them seriously.

When they were playing NIGHT, I was already tearing up because it meant that their set was going to end. I was trying so hard to hold back the tears because Yusuke... thankfully, I did. I was happy Hazuki kept going to the left side of the stage because that was where I always stand. So that means I got to see him a little more for the last time.

When they ended their set, I just walked out of the hall and smoked a little and left Shibuya AX not long after that. I was actually tearing so much on the walk home. I can't believe how much I actually do love them. Makes me feel so pathetic. :/

On Sunday, 5th January 2014, there was a metal special going on at Shibuya O-West. "Metallic Beauties"if I remember correctly. DEATHGAZE was one of the three bands playing at that live, that's why I decided to go. They were the first band up, so it was nice (like lynch. the day before), I didn't have to wait too long. They played for about an hour and they were good but I think they were way better in Nagoya, the last time I saw them at Club Zion. They played half of their newer stuff and half of their older stuff. I can't be bothered to remember the setlist to be honest, haha. But I really enjoyed Disgusting Eye.

Ai didn't look like he was enjoying himself at the end of the live when all the other bands came out to perform together. He was just drinking hot chocolate while the other bands were talking, lol. Was cute though. I thought it was cool they covered each others' songs and that there were 3 guitars playing at the same time, and of course 3 singers taking turns to sing parts of the song... I couldn't see what was going on with the bass but I think only one bass and the other members of the bands were standing around the stage. I was still a little upset on that day, so I didn't enjoy myself that much. Still, was nice seeing DEATHGAZE again.

And while watching the other bands, I've come to the realisation that I only really like bands from Nagoya, well, except THE NOVEMBERS. I'm planning to come back to Japan in summer just so I can go to Nagoya again with Yuri one last time before she heads back to the U.S. and also, to see lynch. again. *fingers crossed* they have a tour in Japan during summer.

117. 鉄の夢

I can't believe its already Christmas eve and soon, 2014 will arrive.

Earlier tonight, I went to see THE NOVEMBERS at Shibuya O-Nest. This time, they were opening for nhhmbase. Sometimes, my luck astounds me. The minute I walked into the venue to exchange my ticket for the drink coupon, Yusuke (vocalist) walked out, I just turned my head and was surprised to see him. So, it was good that I went to the venue late?

I was happy even before getting to see the band, so I was in a really good mood while they took the stage. I wanted to see them play other albums since the last time I saw them, they mostly played To (melt into) and (Two) into holy only. They played material mostly from their latest album, zeitgeist and Fourth wall. I was glad they did, since those were more upbeat songs and I was enjoying myself getting lost in the music. They are so good live, I wish their fans would be more enthusiastic about their music. :/

They played for an hour and I left once they ended. I felt nice to walk out in the cold alone after so long and I'm glad Shibuya wasn't that crowded today.

On Sunday, I met up with Elaine to get the ticket to their show. We decided to meet at Shimokitazawa since I always wanted to go and she said it's a good place for music. I really liked Shimokitazawa. It's not crowded, more chill and has cute shops. We had udon for dinner! I swear I will miss udon so much when I go back, I've been addicted to it lately. After dinner, we went to get dessert and just chilled there and talked for hours. Seriously, I enjoyed talking to her so much, even with our age difference.

Maybe the reason why we can get along so well is because her birthday is the same as Steph's and  I've known Steph for almost 10 years now. Also, it always helps that she likes the same international bands as me like Finch, Brand New, Taking Back Sunday, Thursday etc and obviously, the reason why we knew each other was because of THE NOVEMBERS. So we were just talking about how cute Takamatsu is in general, haha.

It's funny how I always meet great people away from home.

Later, I'll be meeting Yuri to countdown to Christmas together. I can't believe we're going to Nagoya again this weekend. It makes me so happy that we're going back there! I can't wait!

I'm definitely going to write another post before I leave for Nagoya. 2013 has been such a wonderful year, but before the year ends, there's Gray and his Christmas... ( I really miss Fairy Tail ): )

116. the blackest nightmare ii, nagoya

Last night I was in Nagoya to see lynch. again. I got up early yesterday and took the Shinkansen to Nagoya, weirdly this time I was more excited than last week's show. I had major butterflies in my stomach. Maybe because I was alone?

I arrived in Nagoya at about 2 in the afternoon and found my way to Zepp Nagoya. It was easier than I thought it would be, it was only a 15 minute walk from Nagoya Station. I didn't know what to do once I got to the live venue because there was only a cinema and arcade next to it, so I walked back to the station to go to the cafe that Yuri and I went last time. I spent about an hour there and decided to just go to the venue which was such a bad idea because it was freezing! My hands were all numb from texting people. T__T It was so fucking cold in Nagoya plus it didn't help that it was so windy.

I had the cute ducky again :D

I didn't get into the venue till about 5ish and they started on time! They played the same set as Tokyo except for the encores. They were so much more chatty and happy compared to last week. Everyone got to see AK's grandma too. I think they did better in Nagoya for obvious reasons, Hazuki was really concentrating on his voice, so last night almost everything he sang was good. He also threw water to the crowd and some splashed on me -___- Thank god he didn't spit if not, I would have killed him because that is just disgusting.

I didn't get to stand in AK's area because it was so crowded by the time I got in, so I stood infront of Yusuke. I was pretty much at the same spot as last week, lol. Yusuke was so cute last night, I really didn't feel like headbanging because AK was looking over. Yusuke saw that this girl next to me was hardcore headbanging and her looooonnngggg hair kept hitting me, and he signalled a "sorry" sign to me. I know right >< It was kinda painful when her hair hit me.

I only headbanged to EVILLY and THE BLASTED BACK BONE  but I could feel my head dying already. I kept coughing after that for some reason, maybe it was really toooooo cold. Yusuke saw me coughing and signalled me to drink water. I was thinking "awww he's so sweet", but I fuckin' had no water. AK was looking towards my direction and I smiled at him and he smiled back. Seriously though, I think it's so easy to see them in general because I don't know why the spots I always stand, the girls infront of me are all so short. -.-

I am still so in love with AMBIVALENT IDEAL. I love how Hazuki sings it live. And always, I love the whole entire EXODUS EP live, still especially INVINCIBLE.

I had no clue what they were talking during their MC time, all I knew was about the daruma and about AK's grandma.  It was so funny because AK looked over when they were talking and I just looked confused I think and he kept giggling. Obviously, he already knows I can't understand Japanese that well. AK was cute yesterday during the MC because he was awkward and said like "yeahhhhh!!" lol, he was funny.

They talked for so long before they started their encore. Hazuki was taking photos of the crowd and the damn daruma. So they played melt, alien tune, DAZZLE, Discord Number and LIGHTNING first. It kind of feels like they didn't want the live to end because they took a while to get off stage.

During the second encore, they talked even more and played HIDDEN and to my surprise, they played NIGHT again. And they took forever to get off the stage this time. I don't think anyone would mind if they stayed on it forever, haha. Yusuke was cute at the end, he pointed to me and kinda like put his hands on his eyes to make a binocular shape thing, which I think he was trying to say he was looking at me or something. AK came over and also pointed to me and did a heart shape sign. So cute <3333 I was too surprised in the moment and I didn't know how to react, think and feel. But now when I think back, I'm happy. Hazuki took a while to leave the stage, he was smiling the entire time and kept saying how he loves everyone.

It's funny to me that they would actually do this type of things on stage because for the past few times I've seen them, they don't seem to pay attention to the crowd. So I was pleasantly surprised. Also, I never would in a million years think I would get their attention at all, so yes, I am happy. I love them. <3

I'm in love with Nagoya and can't wait to go back. <3

114. the blackest nightmare

Little sis arrived in Tokyo on Thursday night and I've been spending all my time with her until she left back to Singapore this morning. On Friday and Saturday, we didn't do anything much because most of my plans didn't fall through. On Sunday...

lynch. THE BLACKEST NIGHTMARE tour at Zepp Tokyo. Obviously, I was excited. It's my fourth time seeing them this year and I still get butterflies in my stomach. This band makes me feel so much, I still can't put it into words how much I really do love them.

We got up early, headed straight to Odaiba for Ramen and hung around until it was show time. It didn't take too long to get into Zepp Tokyo. Little sis basically ran in and got us good spots for the show, it wasn't too front as the usual but it was good enough. Once again, they opened to Pantera's Mouth of War.

When the curtains fell, the backdrop was so amazing/epic, it was just a simple band logo but still, being to so many lynch. shows, we haven't seen any of this kind of stuff. They started with EXODUS, followed by ASHES. After that was THE BLASTED BACK BONE and I went a little crazy there, I can't really remember the order of their setlist but they didn't play all the songs I wanted to them to. ): It was still fun headbanging obviously. Little sis went crazy to EVILLY.

The interval was BEFORE YOU KNOW IT, and the lights shined on Hazuki right after that ended as he sang BE STRONG. I don't really like that song but its been stuck in my head for days now. -__- After that, they played AMBIVALENT IDEAL !

During this live, for the first time, it felt weird to headbang (normally I go psychotic) because I was standing directly infront of AK and I noticed he kept looking at my direction and was giving me a  "I know you" face. So, I felt kinda weird to be so crazy and letting him judge, lol. But he was so cute because I smiled at him and he smiled right back. Little sis was complaining on how much I look at AK now instead of Hazuki. I still love Hazuki the most though...

Yusuke also, weirdly, kept staring at our direction. I thought Yusuke would never look at people to be honest, but he threw his bottle to me and I basically ran from it. lol He was laughing as he saw me moving away from it. I was scared of the girls that were being crazy trying to snatch it.

I love how the whole EXODUS EP sounds so heavy live, especially INVINCIBLE. The drums are way more amplified and it was soooo goood to headbang to it. Now listening to it on my ipod, I feel empty. It's as if I want to see them all the time now. :/

They played unknown lost a beauty!!!!!!!! When Hazuki said it I was jumping around like some crazy idiot and obviously, I didn't care much about AK judging to that song and just headbanged hardcore for that one song, and after that was pulse_!!!! So the crowd went crazy and moshed and after the mosh, little sis and I were pushed back a bit. The girl infront of me was tall, I couldn't see anything after pulse_, so I tiptoed and when my head popped up of the crowd, AK saw and was giggling. Omg I wanted to die. Seriously, I think I've been crushing on him ever since I met him. He looks so fucking cute when he smiles. Obviously, Hazuki has the nicest smile but AK...

They had two encores and they were talking for a bit during encore 1, where Hazuki took out his Daruma and was drawing the eye on one of them and joking about how he is actually 41... but really, he is only 31. After much talking, they continued with UNTIL I DIE. I was soooooo happy they played it since it is my tattoo now. <3

They also played STARZ, Discord Number and LIGHTNING. For the second encore, they only played HIDDEN. They played for two hours. It felt so short. I honestly think the best live of theirs that I've been to is the very first one at Zepp Divercity because they played so many songs I love and for 2 hours 30 minutes.

Since, I felt it was too short, now I really want to go to their last Zepp show in Nagoya this Saturday. I'm still thinking about it but leaning towards going. I can't ever have enough of them. Here is the setlist, not in order :

  • EXODUS
  • ASHES
  • THE BLASTED BACK BONE
  • EVILLY
  • I BELIEVE IN ME
  • ADORE
  • ALL THIS I'LL GIVE YOU
  • BEFORE YOU KNOW IT
  • BE STRONG
  • AMBIVALENT IDEAL
  • MIRRORS
  • NEW PSYCHO PARALYZE
  • THE FATAL HOUR HAS COME
  • MOMENT
  • I'm sick, b'cuz luv u.
  • VANISH
  • INVINCIBLE
  • 59
  • unknown lost a beauty
  • pulse_
  • NIGHT
Encore 1
  • UNTIL I DIE
  • Discord Number
  • STARZ
  • LIGHTNING
Encore 2
  • HIDDEN
Little sis was a little disappointed they didn't play melt. I know they always change their setlist but I didn't really like this one. T__T After the show ended, I went to buy some CDs, since I am still slowly collecting them. We didn't hang around for long, we left to go to Oedo Onsen, just two stops away from Odaiba. I seriously think this is the best decision little sis came up with. If we didn't go to the onsen, our necks would have probably be in a whole lot more of pain.

Also, I was trying my best to cover my tattoo the entire time and successfully did! We ate quite a lot there too, since concerts really take out a lot from you. It was the best way to end such an amazing night. By the time we got home, we both crashed on the bed almost immediately.

096. im sick b'cuz luv u, tokyo

16th August 2013, Friday.

The day I lost myself because I got to see my favorite band again. Dearest lynch., I'm sick because I love you.

Both little sis and I didn't really bother about getting out of our room early. We arrived in Shibuya at noon for lunch, and after lunch, we went to find Shibuya AX. It wasn't that difficult to locate, it was just to the right of Parco. So, with still so much time to kill, we just went shopping and chilled at a cafe till it was time to get in.

The Intersection of Dogma live concert 2013, with Angelo, MUCC, INORAN, lynch. and heidi. as I read it from Angelo's twitter, sold out under 3 minutes! I just felt so lucky to have even gotten tickets if I didn't I'd be totally kicking myself.

Doors opened at 4.45pm, but we didn't care much about getting there on time since our numbers were B5 and 6 (approximately 1500 people are infront of us). Outside Shibuya AX, they were already selling merch, mostly MUCC and Angelo. Also, there were a ton of MUCC fans. I hardly saw any lynch. fans. We got in at about 5.15pm and as usual, they asked us who we came to see and bought drink coupons.

Somehow, some way, little sis dragged me from the back all the way till the 10th row. Since first up was heidi., we didn't really bother about finding a good spot just yet. There was an introduction for The Intersection of Dogma on the big screen, amazingly, it was all in English and quotes from the bible? Both of us just thought it was weird.

heidi. was pretty alright, but I really didn't enjoy their set since their fans were annoying and I'm going to be brutally honest, the guys are not good looking at all. -___- I got bored and was mostly playing with my phone and looking at the time. They only played 5 songs, which was about half an hour. After that some of the fans cleared and some girls in front of us were nice enough to let us stand in the front, she even asked us if we were here for lynch. so, little sis and I managed to squeeze our way through to the 5th or 6th row. Fucking hell, I was so bloody excited for lynch. I think I was almost shaking.

And when they played the next interlude on the big screen and showed the word "lynch." I was screaming and jumping like some lunatic.

Finally, the curtains were raised and Reo, Asanao, AK and Yusuke took the stage while Hazuki was the last one to get on. Once they got on stage, somehow, we got pushed to the front like 3rd or 2nd row and got pushed sideways too, so I got smacked in between AK and Hazuki >__<  I totally fangirled on the inside. They were trying to get the crowd fired up and there I was screaming and jumping in excitement. <-- you would hardly spot a wild Lyy. I'm only this insane for lynch.

They opened to ALL THIS I'LL GIVE YOU, and omg when the fast part came and Hazuki started screaming, I was headbanging and moshing like crazy. Since this song was slow then fast, slow then fast, we had to pace ourselves with the headbanging and "hand gestures." After that was -273.15 C, which is a faster paced song. Can you only imagine my headbanging? Didn't give a fuck and continued with the hardcore headbanging.

MIRRORS was next and both of us shouted "MIRRORS!!!!" to each other. Little sis lost her shit because it was her favorite song (and she loves that PV as much as me), I was more like dancing to this since this was more melodic. After MIRRORS ended, Hazuki Mc-ed for a little bit and continued with EVILLY.

I was so happy since SHADOWS is my favorite album from them. The best part was singing EASY MUZIK EASY SUICIDE, EVILLY MUZIK EVILLY NEW LIFE. Even little sis who didn't know shit about this song, caught on after a while. I love that we would sing that and headbang at the same time. Seriously. It was sooooo gooooood.

Next up was I BELIEVE IN ME, I'm not a big fan of this song so I took a break and just sang to the chorus. I only really liked the chorus of this song anyways. Thank god I did take a break because I could feel like I was gonna get a headache.

After that was fucking UNKNOWN LOST A BEAUTY!!! 323u903u3jkdsfskjndk

This was the part that I lost myself because ultimately, this is the motherfucking best song to headbang to, for the first time I lost myself in the music and just headbanged so violently I just didn't give a fuck. And jumping at certain parts, actually made me lose my balance and sprain by ankle but who fucking cares.

Just look at that crowd, that's how it is all the time at their lives!

And because losing myself wasn't enough, they continued with PULSE_!!!! Both of us went even more insane with the headbanging (I could feel my neck almost straining at one point) since Little sis loved this song to hell and back. pulse_ is a "tradition" song lynch. plays at all their lives.

Best. Song. Ever.

I thought they were gonna be done with pulse_ but they ended their set with NIGHT. Both of us screamed like there was no tomorrow and headbanged even more violently for their last song. Literally, this was the anthem for this trip since I played this song in our hotel room every damn night. We both were singing " the blackest night, blackest night of all" back at each other, it was so fucking epic. I still can remember her face smiling back at me and that was when I knew we were having the time of our lives.

lynch. makes me so fucking happy.

After they were done, Hazuki talked a bit more for THE NITE BEFORE EXODUS tour happening the following week, right here at Shibuya AX. Wish I could have gone ;______; I have never headbanged so violently in my life, so, thank you, lynch. for making me insane.

Little sis and I moved away from the front area since MUCC fans were coming in and decided to stay somewhere in the middle. So, there was another interlude but... INORAN was flashed on the screen and everyone went "EHHHHHH?!" including us, and there was ultimate chaos because now, the INORAN fans were trying to get to the front while the others were trying to move away.

INORAN was pretty good live, and his band was good too but we weren't really feeling the music so both of us decided to get out and get drinks. Outside of the concert hall, there were some merch stands and a smoking corner, so I had a cigarette on my own while I waited for little sis for my drink. I don't know why but I was just observing the girls smoking vs the girls not. There was actually a huge difference, I could just tell that the ones smoking were more chill and really cared about music. And it must be nice to have a smoking partner cos mine are all guys. ALL of my girlfriends don't smoke. Forever alone inhaling these cancer sticks.

After my cig, I went to get some lynch. merch, I was hoping they would have some shirts or something but no. ): So I just bought I BELIEVE IN ME album, I promised myself to buy an album everytime I go to their live, that way I can slowly collect all of them.

We were just hanging around the smoking area, so I met a lynch. fan I talked to on tumblr there. It's always nice to finally meet the person behind the screen! She was also with a friend, so all of us were fangirling over lynch. lol.

Not soon after, INORAN ended and all of us rushed into the concert hall to get a good spot for MUCC. Again, another interlude... and MUCC took the stage.

I was excited to see them again since they really did blew me away last year at JROCK EVOLUTION. They opened to their new song and omg, the fans were so crazy. Everyone started moshing, headbanging (hardcore) and some girls even got onto some guys shoulders O_O But I really love how united MUCC fans are and even if I didn't know any of their songs (again), little sis and I had so much fun just headbanging to the music.

Tatsuro did MC for a little bit and he did the same thing as last year where he told the crowd to back up and sit on the ground and when he counts to three, everyone would jump. I swear MUCC has such good interaction with the audience all the time, that's the thing that makes them so amazing and even if I don't listen to them often, I would always want to go to their concerts because it's just too fun. I only knew Nirvana was the third song they performed and they closed to Libra. Little sis was bumped out because they didn't play FUZZ, she really wanted to see Tatsuro with the harmonica, haha.

Their set was mostly made up on lots of headbanging, moshing and jumping which only sprained my ankle even more but like I said, who fucking cares. I'm having of the time of my life and that's all that matters.

Image from [ x ]

And I was always love the fact that Tatsuro is always barefooted on stage and the way Miya plays the guitar. Little sis was also so blown away by them, she couldn't stop talking about them for the rest of the night. They are just sooooooooo fucking good. I want to see them again too ;__; They are so much better in their home turf. I would probably see them in Japan the next time if I even get a chance to.

After  MUCC ended, both of us left Shibuya AX because we were already late to meet Yuri at Ikebukuro Edge. When we met, we actually didn't do anything much but had dinner and just sat around Ikebukuro. Hahaha. What a way to end the night.

I wish I could have seen Eat You Alive one more time but with lynch. clashing there's no way in hell I'm trading any band for them.

Lastly, as if I didn't love lynch. and MUCC enough already. This freakin' live only made me love them even more. Especially my darlings, lynch. like seriously, I have never loved a band this much in such a long time.

095. derangement, chiba

10th August 2013, Saturday.

Was the first day of Summer Sonic 2013. Little sis and I got up soooo early, 6am+. Mind you, I haven't woken up at 6am since I was in high school... I read online that it would take more than an hour from Tokyo to get to QVC Marine Filed and Makuhari Messe since they were located in Chiba. Both of us got up so early to make it for the 7am breakfast buffet at the hotel we were staying at.

After breakfast, we left the hotel and got on the train. Doors open at 9am and the bands only started playing at 11am but I wanted to be there early to get GazettE merch. So we arrived Makuhari Station at about 10am, I loved how they even put up posters at the station that said "Welcome to Summer Sonic 2013." It only fuelled my excitement. There were also people holding up signs that said they needed tickets. :/ First time I've ever seen anything like this since, in Melbourne, people don't do this.

It was quite a long walk to Messe and even a longer walk to QVC. and as I remember, it was super super hot that day.

The entrance to QVC Marine Field, it was jam packed and so freaking crowded already when we arrived and we just went through the gates into the big stadium. I was actually quite amazed how well everything was decorated and there were not that much of  queues at the food stalls. First thing both of us did was go into the stadium just to check out the Marine Stage.

There were so many people decked out in Metallica shirts. Mostly guys and older men, haha. I have this thing where I hate to wear the band I'm seeing. I don't know, it just is... just me. I just don't like it. First up was Volbeat, since neither of us listen to them, we decided to walk back to Makuhari Messe to check out the other stages and I didn't expect it to get even hotter when we were walking back to Messe T_T It was just so fucking hot that day. I could feel the soles of my shoes gaining heat and almost on fire.

So at Messe, thank god it was sheltered and air conditioned!!! We went to check out the Mountain, Sonic and Rainbow Stages and also all the food stalls, I was amazed at the number of food stalls they had. They even had dessert stalls and Alcohol stalls, and a lot of stalls. It's freakin way more efficient than Melbourne and the best thing is that the food isn't ridiculously overpriced, I think. It's overpriced but not too much. In Melbourne, everything is fucking overpriced, like triple or even four times the normal price at festivals.

Rainbow Stage!

I also went to check out the merch stands and guess what, the only band that have their merch sold out is none other than, THE GAZETTE. I was kinda pissed off because this will probably be the only time I get to see them and I can't even get merch. -___- I really wanted the bag Ruki posted on twitter the day before, with the band logo on it. Oh well.

We were thinking of going back to QVC for One Ok Rock but the sun was scorching that day, so we gave up on that idea and went to the Sonic Stage to see androp!

They were pretty good live. After their set, little sis and I waited around and got some food and desserts until about 1ish and walked back to QVC for Bullet For My Valentine. When we reached back at QVC, it was even hotter and even more crowded then before. It was so difficult to walk through the crowd to get the the entrance of Marine Stage.

The time was also going by so quickly, I was getting agitated so I just fucking pushed my way through the crowd. I even shouted at some guys to get the fuck out of my way since it was almost time for BFMV. When I finally got to the entrance, there was a long queue to get into the stadium. T_T And BFMV started playing when both of us were still outside queuing to get in.

Once we got in, we basically ran to the stage and was singing along to Breaking Point. After missing them twice, I was so happy I finally got to see them. Third time's the charm. They opened to Breaking Point which both of us were singing so bloody loudly, after that, they played The Last Fight and omg they were soooooo goooodd. I had fun singing along with little sis since she is as crazy about them as I am. After that, it was Scream Aim Fire. Little sis went fucking psycho and we were just headbanging the whole time. Also, there were hardly any girls at BFMV's set D: I saw a guy wearing Soundwave shirt though! I was like omg ma homie! I'm so lame. After  Scream Aim Fire, we basically rushed off because it was already 2.45pm and the GazettE was playing at 3pm all the way back at Makuhari Messe and it takes about half an hour to get there by foot. T____T

oh.. and I was disappointed Matt Tuck didn't grow out his hair ):

After Scream Aim Fire, BFMV played a slow song, so that was when we decided to move. We were actually walking really fast out of QVC, but it wasn't fast enough so we started running (since we saw other GazettE fans running too), but halfway down the road, it was so hot that I started getting dizzy and the sun was really unforgiving that day. It was so bright too on top of it. So, I started slowing down and eventually walking. I saw someone alighting from a cab on the way, so the both of us just decided to get on the cab to get to Makuhari Messe.

Thank god we did, once we got out of the cab, we started running again to the Rainbow Stage. Right when I was just about to turn into the Stage, the Opening SE for GazettE started playing and I think I just ran even faster, one moment I was behind little sis and the next I was in front of her. She said she was shocked that I could still run that fast after getting dizzy.

We reached the Stage area just in time. I ran to the right side of the Stage, which was Uruha's side.. since erm, I like Uruha too? Right when we found a good spot to see them, they opened with VORTEX. Omg, I totally lost it and headbanged with little sis and we basically sang through it shouting "I don't wanna become the fucking garbage like you" back at Ruki.

After VORTEX, they played LEECH and I went even more crazy because that song is from my favorite album by them, DIM. Seriously, I was singing so loud and headbanging so hard I didn't even fucking care. T_T God knows how happy I was to finally see the GazettE. After LEECH, Ruki MC-ed for a little bit, and continued with VENOMOUS SPIDER'S WEB. The visual effects on the screen behind them had the first few words to the song - PAIN - GRUDGE - SORROW - FURY- DELETE - HEADACHE - HANG UP - DIZZY - It only made the crowd even more crazy I guess? I just knew I was enjoying myself so much.

Next was DERANGEMENT, again, another fast paced = even more headbanging. I don't know how I even did it the whole time since I wasn't even feeling that good right before their set? But I could see that little sis was enjoying herself too, singing and dancing along to their music. It just made me happy that I wasn't the only one out of both of us enjoying it. :) We were both laughing at Ruki, his moves were exactly same as their PV.

REQUIRED MALFUNCTION was next, it was fun too. Another fast paced, headbanging song. After that was ATTITUDE which was also fun. The most fun part was shouting "THE IMAGE IS EMBODIED UNTIL DIE". Little sis didn't know these two songs since she doesn't listen to them often so she was asking me what the fuck am I even singing. lol Hi, Ruki and his broken english.

And last of all, they played none other than FILTH IN THE MOTHERFUCKING BEAUTY. I was most anticipated for this song since it was a typical GazettE "tradition" to have play song.  I've always watched live videos of them online performing to this song, and was waiting for the best part - the headbanging with all the band and the fans. OMG, IT WAS SO GOOD. Right after Ruki said "SEXUAL DISGRACE" everyone went psycho. Seriously made my entire day, year, whatever. It was so nice to be a part of something. They ended with that, and Ruki just talking about FADELESS coming out soon and that was it.

All in all, they were pretty good live. They were so fun since I knew all of their songs. The visual effects for them were really good. I mean duh.. since they are a Visual Kei band but I've not been to many vk shows since erm, my favorite bands are not VK?

Initially, both of us planned to run back to QVC for Fall Out Boy, but since it was insanely hot, we decided to forget about it and we just watched them on the big screen at Makuhari. Luckily we didn't, because their setlist wasn't that great, most of the songs were the ones we've seen them play before, so we didn't miss much. We both still sang along to our fave songs though, haha.

When it was about 4pm, we walked back to the Rainbow Stage to see coldrain. I was surprised that the crowd was bigger than GazettE's. With that being said and all, and me not knowing ANY coldrain songs, they were fucking amazing live. Both of us just stood there in awe of how good Masato's voice is live.

I only know they ended with The Revelation since he announced it. There were a lot of guys at their set too and moshing!!!! They were too good so I took a video of the whole song. >_< Honestly, I am still not that big of a fan of their music but I wanna see them again. Their energy is so great on stage and gave me goosebumps so many times. They would have easily killed off some english bands in the same genre, and I've seen a lot, trust me.

After coldrain, both little sis and I promised each other if we had the chance, we would definitely definitely see them again. We took a break after them, and sat around Makuhari and got some desserts. Seriously, on days like these, shaved ice really saves you.

When it was almost 6, we decided to move our asses back to QVC since we wanted to see Linkin Park for a bit. Little did we know, they actually have a damn shuttle bus to and fro from QVC and Makuhari Messe and vice versa. We just took our time to QVC via shuttle.

It didn't take that long to get back into the Marine Stage. Linkin Park was already playing when we arrived. It was even even even more crowded than before. I had a hard time getting into the crowd, and to the stage area, and since it was packed, we couldn't find a good spot to see them, we just didn't care and tried to make out way out. We've seen them before and they are alright. Chester's voice is still good live though. They were playing most of their new stuff, which I don't really like. I think their first two albums were the best.

I still remember being 13 and I was obsessed with Papercut and Crawling. They were so good back then. When we were making our way out, they played numb, so I was kinda happy and singing along while having a harder time getting out. I took about 15 minutes to get into the crowd and half an hour to get out of it. T_T There were just so many people.

When we finally got out of the stadium, we both decided to get something to eat. Little sis bought yaki soba and I didn't like anything they had, so I waited till I got back to Makuhari to have dinner.

Since there was still so much time to waste before Metallica, we decided to just explore the place, and we went to the Beach Stage and just sat there for a good half an hour enjoying the breeze and also, it was much more quieter and less crowded at this part. It was interesting too since there were people painting and also skateboarding!

I still wanted to walk around, and get to the Garden Stage but little sis insisted we get back into the Marine Stage to find a good spot for Metallica. So that was what we did, we didn't want to stand in the crowd again, so we both went to look for seats which was already so difficult to find. There was still about 40 minutes till Metallica get on stage and the place was already so packed. Finally, we managed to get seats and just waited when it really hit me on how big QVC Marine Field really is.

I sent pictures of the stadium and crowd to my dad via Whatsapp and he said, quote "you girls are crazy to go to this concert!"

So, we slowly watched the sun set over here at QVC, not much of a view really. Haha. Night finally came and Metallica finally took the stage at about 7.30pm. I was amazed by the Japanese fans, they knew all the lyrics to the songs. They were singing so loudly in their horrible thick- Japanese engrish but they just didn't give a fuck. Two thumbs up, literally. With that being said, even though I'm not a fan of Metallica, I repeat, NOT a fan (I never liked their music, I'm a Iron Maiden/Judas Priest/Motley Crue fangirl), they were amazingly good. The drummer and the guitarist are insanely good and James Helfiled who is fucking 50 years old still has a damn good voice. Props to them too, after all these years, they're still kicking ass!

After about half an hour of seeing them, I didn't really bother honestly... we both decided to head back to Makuhari again. I wanted dinner and I still wanted to see Crossfaith and little sis wanted to see Steve Aoki. There were rides at the other side of QVC, I didn't get on any, I think I might have puked but the lights were so pretty. *__*

Once we got back to Makuhari, I got my dinner and little sis went to get desserts... again. We just sat on the ground and waited around. Some people were already sleeping. I don't blame them, the sun really does tire out your eyes. We were just lazing around Rainbow Stage.

It was already coming to 10, so we once again, tried to get good spots to see Crossfaith. Honestly, when they started playing. I think my ears died. I'm still not a fan of them but I think the guitarist? Bassist? The one with the long hair in the band, is really cute. I really hate guys with long hair, they will be the death of me. T_T But yes, little sis was so annoyed with me for not wanting to leave because of my shallow reasons, lol. But yeah, I left after only 5 minutes in and we went over to the Sonic Stage since she wanted to see Steve Aoki.

I thought he was pretty good but I really hate clubbing/dance/whatever you idiots dance to genre, music. No matter how good the DJ is, I will never fail to get a headache. So now was my turn to be annoyed and asking her to leave. Haha. We left after 10 minutes, and finally left Makuhari Messe and made our way, really slowly to Makuhrai Station.

Yes, the train was packed too, and it took really long to get back to Hamamatsucho. Probably because we were so tired and couldn't wait to take a bath. I know I was so tired from Summer Sonic, after my bath, I immediately fell asleep, didn't give a fuck if my hair was still wet or whatever. I just sinked into my bed.

Going to Summer Sonic was definitely an experience. Little sis and I used to joke about going to Summer Sonic years ago, way back when I still wasn't into J-Rock. I'm happy we finally made it out alive! And to think how much I enjoy Japanese bands more now. It's amazing where life takes you. I don't know if I'll be back in 2014 for another round of Summer Sonic, we'll have to see the lineup first. :3
