Hi, this is my friend Raine and she likes to take pictures of me when I'm doing something stupid and probably looking stupid too.
Anyways, I met up with Raine last night for dinner at Hyatt, just wanted to spend some time with her before she leaves for London. She's leaving in just a few hours in fact. We've gotten closer in the last few months, well because we are both bored to death and she's the only person that would go to nice restaurants with me. More importantly, we realized we had so much in common ever since I met up with her in Tokyo in February.
And than she decided to go on a camwhoring spree because we don't know when's the next time we'll meet.
Actually, we knew each other in the first year of Lasalle. We weren't close then because I wasn't into Japanese stuff and she left after the first year for Bunka Fashion College in Tokyo. I didn't plan to meet her since we weren't close, I really didn't want to bother her.( I hate to be all fake to someone you're not close to in another country just so they can bring you around when you're there. I just don't like that.) But she offered to meet since I told her I was coming alone.
It's kinda funny because we ended up meeting twice during that trip. I remember I was really busy for that week, busy attending my friend's live and going out with them on a different day and on top of that, I wasted a day in Tokyo sleeping in the hotel room because I had fever. She brought me to the Alice in Wonderland Cafe in Ginza, had Hot Pot and Parfait at SILKREAM (I love that place so much now) on a different day in Shibuya.
We were sitting in that particular Starbucks on top of Tsutaya in Shibuya on a Friday night, just talking about life and that was when we realized that we had a lot in common and it was so cold that night! It was 3 degrees I remember. After she graduated from Bunka, she came back to Singapore for about half a year and now is leaving for London Fashion College.
I say we don't know when we will be seeing each other again because I'm moving back to Melbourne soon and even if she comes back to Singapore, I would be gone by then. Speaking of which, I might be moving back to Melbourne in November instead of waiting for 2013. She's the first person I have to say goodbye to and to be honest, it hurts a little. I can't imagine the amount of people I would be saying goodbye to when I officially leave Singapore.
I know she will pwn all the fashion kids in college there because her designs are amazing and I hope she'll become famous one day and I'll get free clothes. ^3^ Haha, kidding. I just wish her the best and hopefully I can visit her in Europe next year.
Typical her being on the phone forever.
Speaking of goodbyes, I met up with Steph last Thursday for dinner and she told me that she would be leaving for Philippines for three years. Another friend that I don't know when will be the next time we'll meet after I move back. For Steph, it hurts more because I'm so used to her being there and we've known each other for more than 9 years now. We've been through a lot together and I would say she understands where I come from most of the time because she went to the same middle school as me. I just hope we will still talk often since it's easier nowadays with Whatsapp and Skype.
I met up with Mad on Monday too. I need to spend more time with my friends since I only have about 2 months left. I swear to God that when I leave, I will write Mad a very long letter. She just being my friend for the past 4 years has taught me so much about life. Ahhhh, I don't want to think about it because it's making me all teary eyed.
I need to start sorting out my things and packing.
Lately, I have been drawing and reading. I am happy with how my art is progressing. I hope I can keep on like this.
