Dad came back for a few days and we discussed my plans on moving back to Melbourne sooner. It's settled, I'm officially leaving Singapore on 22nd November and will only return on 4th February next year, in time for Chinese New Year (10th, 11th February). I thought 4th February looked so familiar then I remembered why. I arrived in Tokyo on 4th February this year. Talk about Deja Vu.
This week has been quite interesting... Dad went back to Jakarta on Monday, Tuesday I had dinner with little sis in town, Thursday I had tea with my godsister and aunt and on Saturday I was with Steph for the entire evening.
The reason why I wanted to see my godsister was because she's pregnant and it was kind of amusing to me because she's one who always talks about not having kids. Her husband (godbrother in law) on the other hand, I can't even imagine him being a father because he's almost exactly like me. The very first time I met him, he asked me what I was listening to (I always had my headphones on at the time), and I said "Dancing Through Sunday by AFI" and he said "Sing The Sorrow is the best album by AFI".
Sing The Sorrow is my favourite AFI album. Now do you know why we can get along? On top of that, he likes anime, Studio Ghibli, metal, indie, J-rock, all the music I listen to, goes to Soundwave almost every year, knows my lecturer who's in a local band (my lecturer was at their wedding), worked with a guy I dated for a while and he even knows The Moomins, THE MOOMINS. He has a freaking Moomin shirt. Best brother in law ever?
Okay, before I get too carried away... we were looking at baby stuff and I just couldn't believe that I was actually at the baby section of the store searching for baby clothes with my dear godsis. It's so crazy because when she was my age, she would party like crazy and sleep at weird timings like me. But she told me, it's life and she's actually happy about being a mom soon. I'm honestly happy for her and happy that I can buy a Totoro plush for my future niece. :3 I've never spent so much time with her before and I was just talking to her about life and it's problems.
All in all, it was nice to spend some time with her because when I was little I would stay over at her place for weeks and I didn't know I bit her so often until she told me the other day. lmao. I almost died laughing. I'll probably see her again next week for her birthday. I don't know how to explain it but it just feels so nice to have an older sister for once. Maybe because I am always looking out for my little sister.
On Saturday, I met up with Steph for dinner and...
I am here again!
Yes, I always like to watch Potter movies twice in the cinema, so obviously, I would go to the exhibition twice. It's already ending, today in fact is the last day. It was still fun because I love the Forbidden Forest too much and I still wanna steal those Death Eaters' masks!
After the exhibition, we sat outside of Marina Bay Sands and just talked about life. Especially about moving. Steph's going to be in Philippines for the next 3 years and I guess we could relate because we have to buy so much essentials for our future apartments. Lately, there's so much stuff going on in my mind about moving that I can't think of anything else.
Also, there were some kites around the area. They were so pretty!
And we walked down slowly to Boat Quay.
I have about 1 month and 3 weeks left before I head back home to Melbourne. I really can't believe this is all happening. I still have so much to do and I'm still sitting here writing this. My art would be taking a longer time to process since I'm gonna be busy meeting friends and preparing for the move. Next week looks interesting already, on Monday I am going to meet Andrea for lunch and I have plans with Fee and Friday I have MUCC! I can't wait to see Tatsurou! ^^
Congrats to your god sister :D that must be weird seeing someone that is so similar to you having a child, ever think if that might be you one day? :o
ReplyDeleteI'm excited for you to be moving, it's close to birthday actually :o and it's on one of my friend's birthdays lol. I can't wait to see how you are doing in Melbourne once you move :]
I'm glad you are keeping busy, though it may seem overwhelming at times, it is more positive :] Good luck in everything Lyy!
