This week, I didn't go too far off of Tokyo because of the rainy weather. I was actually planning to go to Chichibu or Enoshima. Maybe when the weather gets better? So on Monday, little sis and I went to Roppongi because she really wanted to see the Godzilla display at Tokyo Midtown. It was difficult to get a shot of it because there were so many kids running around. There's also a nice garden next to the Midtown, so we went there for a little bit as well.
We didn't do much in Roppongi but walk around, we went to get Cinnabons on the way to Roppongi Hills, sooo good! After wandering around Roppongi for an hour or two, we made our way to Daimon Station to get sushi at the restaurant we always go to when we're here for our holidays. We didn't spend too long around Hamamatsucho area and headed back early. Still love the area at Hamamatsucho so much. <3

On Wednesday little sis needed to get her coffee fix, so we went to Harajuku for some cafe hunting again (I think this will be a weekly thing until she goes back). It was raining so it was a little difficult to walk around, we got coffee at The Roastery and stayed there for a little while until the rain cleared up. The coffee was really good, reminded me of the ones I would have in Melbourne. Too bad they didn't have mocha. ):
Then I went to get my fringe cut while she went to get yet another cup of coffee just next to the salon at Little Nap. We went to an Avocado Cafe for dinner nearby. It's called Madosh! Cafe and I really love how mismatched all their furniture are there, we ordered two mojitos, an onsen egg with avocado, wrapped with prosciutto and something else which I had no idea what it was but yes, it had avocado too.
We went to Tower Records to chill for a bit after our avocado fix before heading back, well, little sis headed back. I went to meet up with a cute friend for drinks. We stayed out talking till 3am-ish and he was nice enough to pay for my cab fare back, he invited me to see his band play that following night but we both decided it would have been a mess if I went because of the number of bands playing that night, so he told me we'll meet another time. He promised to let me watch him skateboard the next time we meet, so I'm looking forward to it.

On Friday, little sis and I went all the way to Odaiba. Both of us thought it was a good idea to go to an onsen to hide from the rain. We had ramen for dinner and it was my first time having cold ramen which was really good! The sauce was miso based, and we ordered gyoza on the side too.
After dinner, we went to Decks and we stumbled upon a vintage area on one of the levels. It was so fun to go to the little candy shops, looking at some of the snacks reminded me of my childhood and they were so cheap, but I didn't get anything.
There were some shops that sold vintage toys as well, reminded me of the shop I went to in Nagoya in Osu and another one in Osaka. I love vintage toys so much. We walked down the little alley way to find some other little stores, there was one that sold lucky boxes, from 300 - 2000 yen. Basically, you buy a wrapped box and have no idea what's in it. So if you're lucky, you get something worth more than your money. There was also a haunted house, tako yaki museum and a shooting range game, which you could win prizes. So cuteeee! But my favorite find was a vintage arcade :D
There were pinball machines, old-school Mario and Street Fighter Games (which I kicked little sis's ass in, I always had lol), some whack the mole games but they had version I played from my childhood, one that you hit a crab and one where you hit the crocodile. Little sis and I geeked out to The House of The Dead, we played two rounds, killing off zombies and other creatures. I miss playing Resident Evil back home on the Play Station so much T^T
There were also some other games I played as a kid but can't remember the name of but they had it all there. I couldn't stop exclaiming " Oh my god!! Remember this?!" to baby sis. Because obviously, I spent a lot of time at the arcade with her when we were kids. We both had so much fun. :D
I also loved how they decorated the arcade with old toys, old magazine clippings and manga. It was so cute, little sis and I agreed it's such a good place for a date. We spent wayyy too long in the arcade, and went to Joypolis after that and found a good frozen yogurt place. We had watermelon, peach and mango flavour! You know, anything watermelon makes me a happy girl.
After frozen yogurt, we went to Venus Fort because I needed to go to Strange Love to fix my bracelet, I accidentally broke it the other day because it got hooked onto my dress. After getting my bracelet fixed and talking to the nice people at Strange Love, we finally went to the onsen. We did the usual, go to the foot bath and later on the baths itself. It was so nice to sit in the outdoor baths that night because the weather was chilly and soaking in hot water felt so good.
We left Odaiba at about 11pm and made it home at almost 1am.

I can't believe it's already the last day of August. I've always loved August ever since I met my first boyfriend, August was always the month I look forward to the most in the year because of him but even after we've broke up, all my Augusts have always been good to me.
It's strange, this feeling I have whenever I think about this new person I'm seeing. I don't know how to explain it. What trips me out the most is I've always thought he's cute, for a couple of years now. I've never liked his band, I've always only said "I don't like that band but that one is cute." I even told him that and he laughed it off. Life is just so strange... well, for me especially this year... with guys.
