051. horror night

First ever vlog! Actually, not really mine but my friend Fee made this video of us at Universal Studios Singapore for Halloween Horror Night! We went on Saturday, 20th Oct!

We sat Battlestar Galactica Human and Cyclon at night, under the rain. Fucking awesome, sat on the tiny rollercoaster at Far Far Away twice and lastly, Transformers. We couldn't get on much rides because the lines were so long! You'd probably have to wait for 100 minutes each. D: But anyways, I had fun with Fee and Farna and got freaked out a lot.

I can't believe I actually walked in alone to meet them ;___; I wanted to die.

Anyways, there's more of me at the end of the video if you're wondering. :3

049. space

I hate that I haven't been updating my blog as often as I want to. The main purpose of me having this blog is to post tons of inspiration, music and just really write about well, life. But the lazy bug has been on me this month. -_- Just last week, I flooded my other blog with so much new work. I've been lazy.

Since I'm moving back next month, I've been searching for some room inspiration! So excited about decorating my own place.

This is basically what I want my room to look like.

And my Studio...

Audrey Kawasaki's Studio

Or...

Yoshitomo Nara's Studio

Or... Hayao Miyazaki's Studio.

I've actually seen his because I've been to Ghibli Museum 3 times ^3^

There are some stuff that I definitely want in my room but I'll make another post on this.

048. pencilllll

So yesterday was JROCK EVOLUTION in Singapore, featuring MUCC and UNiTE. As usual, I went to the venue late because I just hate dealing with fans and waiting.

Doors open at 6pm and the show starts at 7pm but I was only there at 6:55pm. The venue was the same as Copeland's, it's the size of the school hall and I was quite shocked that the crowd was so small, maybe 300 - 400 only?
Manu showed me this picture and yes, you can see me!
I can't really be bothered with standing in the front as you can see.
UNiTE started right on time, they played exactly at 7 and only for half an hour. I didn't really enjoy them because honestly, they look like another manufactured VK band. But, the singer was good and quite cute. Also, on top of that, I don't like bands who basically don't move around... which is the case with UNiTE. Only the singer moved around.

And we waited for MUCC till 8pm. There was some dubstep/club music playing in the beginning, slowly all the members walked out and when Tatsurou appeared my insides totally fangirled. He was wearing a hood and his hair was all pretty. (Imagine this is only Tatsuro and I fangirled, what about Ruki?)

They opened to Falling Down and totally blew me away. They made UNiTE look like nothing. Even though I was alone, I was really getting into the music. After that, they played FUZZ which blew me away even more when Tatsuro took out the harmonica and just rocked on stage like a boss. I've never seen anything like it and I was just :O the entire time.

Honestly, I don't listen to them that much, so I hardly knew any songs. But the thing I love about them (and some other bands) is that they were able to blow my mind and MAKE me fall in love with them.(Other bands include L'Arc-en-Ciel, Cobra Starship, Alexisonfire and more) That is what I call music right there. I really love how Tatsuro interacted with the crowd and the way how Miya plays the guitar. I love it when they jump around, head bang, just fucking move around a lot in general. I hate it the most if they stand still, which is the case for most bands. I really really enjoyed myself during this live, and it takes a lot for a band to make me enjoy that much on top of that I was alone.

The other song that I really enjoyed was Arcadia. I love that it's all dancey and at MUCC's live, there's a wide range of genres that you can enjoy. From heavy to folk to dance to normal rock. That's really hard to find these days and I really love them for that.

They played for an hour and I always laugh at these Jrock bands when they try to speak English. It's just so cute and funny. Miya was talking about how much he loves Ice Kachang (Asian version of shaved ice but with little "treasures" - jelly are the bottom). Tatsuro was teaching us Japanese which was pretty hilarious too. Also, during one song, they stopped playing and Tatsurou asked us to sit down and when he counts to four, we have to jump high.

Which most people did. They took an interval after playing for an hour, and finished the live with 2 songs, closing with Libra. Tatsurou's voice is much better live and it just captured me. I love the way the guitars sound, heavy and grunge. They also played an unreleased song, which was good too, it gave off this dreamy feeling.

I'm glad I took a chance because I am totally in love with them now. I wouldn't mind watching them in Japan if I get the chance to, they are THAT good. You know that feeling you get when bands just blow you away? The hair rising feeling? Yes, it was there with this band.

Oh yes... Tatsuro was bare footed the entire time.

Photos Credit all here, their manager. Since we are not allowed to take photos AT ALL.

047. magic

I was feeling so anxious, nervous and scared about the move but after watching Kiki's Delivery Service, I felt so much better. (Kiki is only 13 and she moved?! And I want a Jiji too, definitely.) And yes, I am dragging my whole load of Ghibli stuff with me to Melbourne. What would I do without them?
